It also works in collaboration with other Ministries, such as the Ministry of Internal Affairs through the Port Vila Municipal Council, to deal with land issues.

On behalf of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, I am honored to address you today. Land is more than a physical asset—it is our identity, our heritage, and a foundation for national development. As custodians of this vital resource, the Ministry remains committed to ensuring that land management is transparent, efficient, and inclusive for all Ni-Vanuatu.

Our focus continues in three key areas: strengthening land administration through improved systems and services, protecting customary land rights by ensuring landowners are involved in every decision, and promoting sustainable land use that balances development with environmental care. These pillars guide our work as we aim to build a land sector that serves our people, respects tradition, and supports Vanuatu’s future.
